ENCA Champions Kick-off on May 31st--All Churches are Invited!
The Ministries Council Committee of the Eastern North Carolina Association cordially invites your church to participate in a special workshop on May 31st called the “ENCA Champions.” The ENCA Champions are individuals selected from every church in the Association. The champions are your congregation’s ambassador and will have a unique and important role in the Association. The champions be given the charge to work together to increase meaningful connections between local congregations in all six program districts and the Association.
On our kick-off event on May 31 we will bring all of the champions together to discuss new opportunities for collaboration and information sharing; church-to-church mentoring; and programming partnerships. There is no charge for the event on May 31st. It will be a day-long event, beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding around 4 p.m. The event will be held at Community Church of Christ on Dixie Trail in Raleigh, NC. You are also welcomed to attend if your schedule permits.
Keep in mind that that this is a wonderful chance for your congregation to:
Celebrate your church’s ministries with other congregations in the Association.
Learn about educational programs, outreach activities and ministry opportunities.
Develop mentoring relationships will other congregations.
Share your congregation’s needs and concerns.
Receive specialized training.
Promote spiritual growth and fellowship.
Time is short and we need your congregation to select your champion. As you consider who should be your church’s ambassador to the Association, we ask that individual be:
Actively engaged in the life of your church.
Able to tell your church’s story.
Energetic and excited about working with other churches in the Association.
Dependable and responsible to your congregation to be a faithful ambassador.
Committed to the values of the United Church of Christ.
